With a well insulated substrate, your heating can be efficient and economical, being used at a comfortable temperature of 18-23 degrees; being left on or timed throughout the day. This will achieve a affordable heated floor.
A bonus is with instillation is that electric underfloor heating can be overplayed onto an existing substrate so a new screed would not be required.
